Please read these Terms carefully, as they contain important information regarding your legal rights and responsibilities.

1. Services Provided
Arcane Inspection Services provides professional inspection services including but not limited to:
• Basic and Dynamic home inspections
• Wind Mitigation inspections
• FORTIFIED evaluations
• Pre- and post-storm assessments
• Consultation for insurance, real estate, legal, and construction professionals
All services are conducted in accordance with applicable Louisiana and Mississippi standards and governing authorities.

2. Scheduling and Payment
• Inspections must be scheduled in advance and are subject to availability.
• Payment is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
• Prices are subject to change but will be honored as quoted at the time of booking.

3. Cancellations and Rescheduling
• At least 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule any inspection.
• Cancellations with insufficient notice may be subject to a cancellation fee.
• We reserve the right to reschedule due to inclement weather, unsafe site conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances.

4. Inspection Limitations
All inspections are non-invasive and visual in nature, limited to areas readily accessible at the time of service. We do not dismantle, disturb, or damage property components in the course of our inspections.
• No Destructive Testing: We do not move furniture, remove panels, or open up walls or structures.
• No Warranty: We do not guarantee the performance or lifespan of any inspected component.
• No Code Compliance: We do not verify compliance with building codes, permits, or ordinances.
• No Future Predictions: Reports reflect the condition of observed systems at the time of inspection only and do not guarantee future conditions.

5. Revisions and Updates
If the Client completes qualifying improvements (e.g., impact-rated windows or roof upgrades), we may issue updated Wind Mitigation forms for a nominal fee (typically $25), based on verified documentation such as receipts and photos.
Note: This does not constitute a new inspection and is limited to updating our existing records. A full re-inspection may be required for certain changes or insurance re-evaluations.

6. Use of Report by Third Parties
Inspection reports are intended solely for the Client. Any reliance on the report by third parties, including insurers, contractors, or real estate agents, is strictly at their own risk.
Arcane Inspection Services accepts no liability for third-party use or interpretation of the inspection report.

7. FORTIFIED Program Disclaimers
FORTIFIED evaluations are conducted in accordance with the IBHS FORTIFIED standards. While we strive for accuracy and thoroughness:
• Certification is not guaranteed. Final approval is issued by IBHS or an authorized program authority.
• Arcane Inspection Services is not responsible for approval delays or changes to program requirements.

8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Arcane Inspection Services, its owners, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising out of:
• Your use of the inspection report or Site,
• Actions taken by third parties relying on the report,
• Your breach of these Terms or misuse of the services.

9. Media Release and Data Use
You consent to the following:
• Photographs and video may be taken during inspections for documentation and analysis.
• Non-identifying images and findings may be used for training, educational, or promotional purposes.
We do not share personal identifying information without your explicit written consent.

10. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays, rescheduling, or failure to perform any part of our services due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to:
• Acts of God
• Natural disasters
• Government restrictions
• Pandemics
• Power outages
• Transportation failures

11. Intellectual Property
All Site content, including text, logos, images, reports, and software, is the exclusive property of Arcane Inspection Services and is protected under U.S. copyright and trademark law. Unauthorized reproduction or use is prohibited.

12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to attempt resolution through good-faith mediation prior to pursuing legal action. If legal action is required:
• Venue shall be exclusively in the state or federal courts of Louisiana, and
• The Client agrees to submit to the jurisdiction of Louisiana courts for all such matters.

14. Changes to Terms
Arcane Inspection Services reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. The most recent version will always be posted on this page. Continued use of our Site or services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
